Sudhir Aggarwal, MD, PhD, is a highly trained and compassionate neurologist dedicated to using the best and latest treatments to help patients live a long, meaningful life. He welcomes new and existing patients at his practice, Lower Merion Neurology PC, located in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania, and serving the larger Main Line area, where his expertise in treatment options ensures that his patients maintain optimal neurological health.
Dr. Aggarwal specializes in treating stroke, migraines, seizures, multiple sclerosis, and Parkinson’s disease, in office and hospital settings. He offers comprehensive services for Alzheimer’s disease and other types of dementia. He also has extensive experience injecting Botox® to relieve muscle spasticity and migraine headaches. Dr. Aggarwal helps patients with chronic pain conditions such as complex regional pain syndrome find relief using non-opioid treatment options.
After receiving his medical degree at Government Medical College, Patiala in Punjab, India, Dr. Aggarwal completed his neurology residency at Drexel University College of Medicine, Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia. He then went on to finish fellowship training in Vascular Neurology at Rutgers University- New Jersey Medical School in Newark, NJ. Dr. Aggarwal is Board-certified in Neurology and Vascular Neurology.
Dr. Aggarwal brings a broad range of neurology experience to his practice, having worked at teaching and community hospitals and serving as the medical director of stroke services at a suburban community hospital. He holds academic appointments at Philadelphia’s Drexel University College of Medicine and Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine in Scranton, Pennsylvania.
Since earning a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, Dr. Aggarwal has taken an active role in medical research. He has authored multiple articles and presented his work at numerous conferences, including the International Stroke Confe
